Tucked into the hillside above Acapulco Bay, the property decorated in pink and white is surrounded by 40 acres of hibiscus gardens. There is a swim-up bar and beachfront dining, as well as bungalow-style accommodations, all with private and semi-private pools.
The "casitas" (small, villa-like houses) come with terraces furnished with lounge chairs, two-chair dining sets and umbrellas for shade. In addition, each casita either has its own private plunge pool or a shared pool with one to three other casitas. The resort's upper levels feature private terraces and are reserved for adults 18 years and older. These upgraded rooms include two glasses of wine and hors d'oeuvres each night.
Guests are greeted with pink margaritas upon check-in and receive a complimentary "Brisas breakfast" each morning in their room. It includes fresh fruit, sweet rolls and coffee. A pink jeep transports guests around the property, which boasts a spa, health club and several restaurants and bars.
Dining options include El Bellavista, an air-conditioned, hilltop restaurant that offers spectacular outdoor views. Perfect for romantic dinners, diners may feast on seafood specialties, Mexican and American cuisine. El Bellavista features live music during dinner time (dinner reservations recommended). La Concha offers ocean views and fare such as seafood, pasta, pizza, salad and ceviche. The swim-up La Concha Bar offers burgers, sandwiches, snacks and even tropical drinks. The deli shop serves sandwiches, salads, pastries, wine and drinks.
Las Brisas offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Acapulco Bay. The no-sand beach features two expansive saltwater pools with narrow openings to the bay. There's also a large freshwater pool as well as sundecks with soft lounge chairs and shade. The spa features a variety of treatments and staff members can even do services in a guest's room (fees apply). Guests can also stay in shape at the air-conditioned fitness center or relax in the steam room, both available on site. And for those who feel under the weather during their stay, a doctor is available for consultations.
While children are allowed, there are also adults-only areas on the property. Recreational activities, such as snorkeling, swimming and tennis, are available on site, while even more activities are offered nearby. These include golf, surfing and boogie boarding, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, boating, hiking, parasailing, horseback riding, fishing and even bird watching.
For an additional fee, the hotel offers a seasonal weekly Jeep safari, a five-hour tour that includes a stop at a freshwater lagoon. Here, guests may enjoy a bird watching, canoe races, a buffet lunch and live music. Depending on the timing, guests can also witness as world famous cliff divers at La Quebrada out over a 100-foot-tall cliff.
