Fun for families, relaxing for couples and also full of excitement for singles, the all-inclusive GR Solaris Cancun resort has something for everyone.

Stretching along the white sands of the Cancun Hotel Zone, the resort is just over a mile from the ruins of El Rey, Wet'n Wild Cancun and the Parque Nizuc aquatic park. With nearby shopping and nightlife, the area is an amalgamation of modern culture and ancient Mayan civilizations.

The majority of amenities and activities at the GR Solaris Cancun are included in the room rate. Guests will not be charged extra for meals, drinks, activities, taxes, gratuities or use of both on-site land and water sports equipment.

The resort offers 300 air-conditioned guest rooms in a seven-story building. Rooms have Mexican décor with a modern touch, featuring ceramic tile floors and dark wood furniture. Bathrooms have showers only, but include makeup/shaving mirrors.

There are five restaurants offering 10 different dinner cuisines each week. Start the day with a delicious breakfast at Café Solaris. The Deli serves up tasty sandwiches and salads for lunch. The casual oceanfront Rosmarinus offers Mexican specialties along with vegetarian, low-carb and Italian menu items. Visitors will also enjoy the international gourmet restaurant Marco Polo and snacks like hamburgers and hot dogs at the poolside Snack Bar Tower.

In the evenings, an entertainment staff puts on a variety of diverse shows in the theater. Guests will enjoy multicultural entertainment, including a Latin show, Mexican show and tropical show. There is also a gala and karaoke night.

The entire family will enjoy spending some time in one of the pools at GR Solaris Cancun. With several different types of pools, every need will be satisfied. There's a main pool with a swim-up bar, water activities and places to lounge. There's also a Kids' Club pool.

The resort offers an array of body treatments and facials, as well as a beauty salon. Other activities available include tennis and volleyball, nonmotorized water sports in the private marina (such as kayaking and windsurfing), scuba diving demonstrations, water aerobics, cocktail lessons, shuffleboard and card games.

Holidays at the GR Solaris Cancun are a wonderful time to visit because there will be added excitement at the resort with no additional charge. If you come during Halloween with a stay over Oct. 31, 2011, you can participate in a costume contest at the main theater. Winners will be awarded prizes, and all ages can participate. If you visit on Nov. 25, 2011, you'll enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner at the resort, including seasonal decorations in all the restaurants and lobby. Visitors who come during Christmas, staying between Dec. 24, 2011-Jan. 1, 2012, can celebrate with an array of holiday happenings. This includes a traditional Mexican Posada featuring a pinata, carols at the nativity scene, Mexican fruit punch and candy. There were also be a traditional dinner and a show at the main theater with a spectacular Christmas buffet and live music. A special Christmas à la carte menu will be offered at the Marco Polo and Café Solaris restaurants and a traditional Christmas mass in English and Spanish will be held on Christmas Day. Plus, children will love the Dec. 25th appearance of Santa Claus in the main lobby, replete with gifts and candy. The New Year's Eve celebration is also a fun one. It includes a gala dinner show in the main theater with a spectacular buffet consisting of seafood, steak, international cuisine and an open bar or there will be special menus at the Marco Polo and Café Solaris restaurants. At midnight, enjoy a toast with fireworks, dancing and live music at the main entrance.

Plus, the GR Solaris Cancun boasts a host of promotions visitors can take advantage of when booking a stay for travel now through Dec. 16, 2011. These include:

The Honeymooners' Special: Guests receive one complimentary bottle of domestic sparkling wine, one complimentary fruit basket and an upgrade to an ocean view room (based on availability).Guests must present their certificate of marriage upon check-in and the marriage must have taken place within 15 days of arrival.
The Senior Citizen Promotion: Guests receive one complimentary fruit basket. They must be 65 or older and show proper ID upon check-in.
The Single Stay Promotion: Guests receive a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room. If an ocean view room was originally booked, then they receive a complimentary 45-minute massage in the spa or ocean view palapa. This is good only with single occupancy bookings. Upgrade is subject to availability and request at check-in. Promotion can not be combined with any other special.

Last but not least, the GR Solaris Cancun is proud of its ongoing clothing donation program. Guests can bring a clean item of clothing in good condition to the front desk during their stay and the hotel will deliver it to local families in need.
