The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun is the perfect destination for beach lovers who don't mind a little pampering in a lavish spa.

Guests have direct access to two beaches. One is along the Caribbean Sea where guests can enjoy morning sun, and the other beach is along Nichupte Lagoon, which provides a perfect spot for soaking up the afternoon sun. The lagoon is a large body of calm water lined by the mangrove forests that separate Cancun Island and the mainland.

Swimming is not permitted in the lagoon, but there are several other options. One side of the hotel features a large pool and four smaller triangle pools including two children's pools. The other side of the hotel features more pools and a sundeck. There are also five interlocking cool-water spa tubs on the beach. The Kids' Club is also located on this side of the property. It features various activities for children ages 4-12.

The resort's 379 luxurious guest rooms are situated in a six-story main building and in the seven-story Royal Beach Club. They feature The Westin's signature all-white Heavenly Beds consisting of custom designed mattresses, triple sheeting, a down blanket, comforter and duvet, five goose-down feather pillows and a boudoir neck roll. The Heavenly Bath features dual showerheads with different spray options and a curved shower rod for extra room. The white shower curtain, velour bathrobes and over-sized Brazilian bath towels reiterate why the Westin's bed and bath furnishings are referred to as "heavenly."

The Royal Beach Club rooms feature these same amenities, but guests staying here also have exclusive access to a lounge that serves a complimentary breakfast along with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the evening. There are two computers in the lounge with complimentary internet access. The Royal Beach Club also includes an L-shaped swimming pool, a 10-person spa tub, a sand terrace and a sundeck for the exclusive use of guests staying in those rooms.

The resort has five dining establishments that serve Mexican food and an assortment of other dishes. You'll find everything from fine dining to savory snacks served poolside. There is a restaurant located beside the beach that offers beautiful ocean views and a unique dining concept where guests get to cook items to their taste on hot stones.

The Heavenly Spa features different specialty therapies including massages, body wraps and facials. It also offers hair and nail care and waxing. A Vichy shower, saunas and steam rooms are also available at the spa. The fully-equipped fitness center makes sticking to your workout regime while on vacation easy.
