This cabana boasts a separate bedroom that comes with one king or two double beds. Located in the garden directly facing the ocean, it has a split-level layout. Soft lighting, tile floors, pastel colors and wood furnishings make up the décor. In addition to a living area with a sofa, coffee table and chair, there's a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and mini refrigerator. Among the cabana's other amenities are a cable TV with a VCR, a CD player, a ceiling fan, a direct-dial telephone and a rack for drying diving equipment. 

There is one full bathroom that has a combined shower and bathtub as well as a half bathroom with just a toilet.

Description

Come escape the daily grind at this paradise-like resort. Three miles south of downtown San Miguel is Casa del Mar Cozumel. Situated opposite the main road and just steps from the ocean, it will help you slip into the joys of island life.

The property re-creates the charm of a Mexican village. Along with lush landscaping, there's a courtyard with a fountain. Casa del Mar Cozumel offers all the amenities of a large resort, but still feels like a tropical inn that is friendly, intimate and romantic.

Most of the guest rooms are located in a central building. Accommodations include standard and superior rooms with one king or two double beds, a cable TV and a rack in the bathroom for diving equipment. Hair dryers and irons are available upon request.

Several smaller, spread out buildings house the deluxe cabanas, all of which face the Caribbean Sea. Not only do they have private balconies, but they also boast a split-level layout. There's a bedroom on the ground floor, while the living area and a kitchenette are on the second floor. With two full bathrooms, the deluxe cabana is perfect for families and small groups.

The Coral Reef Restaurant and its lively bar sit near the pool and beach under a huge palapa. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served à la carte-style. Specialties include surf and turf and an array of fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine.

With a prime location for the best snorkeling, scuba diving and sport fishing on the island, Casa del Mar Cozumel is home to the Del Mar Aquatics Dive Shop, where you can rent equipment, take lessons and book a boat dive.

Across the main road, guests will find a stunning private beach. There's also a dock that extends out into the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. It can be used for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling or just as a place to sip on your favorite cocktail. Part of Casa del Mar Cozumel is Nachi Cocom, a beach club located 10 minutes south of the hotel. Here guests can enjoy a wonderful day in the sun as well as a restaurant, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a variety of motorized and nonmotorized aquatic sports.  

Indeed, there is something at Casa del Mar Cozumel -- or nearby it -- for everyone. In addition to a game room, guests can play tennis. Massages are available right on the beach. The Cozumel Country Club is a few miles away, where golfers will find an 18-hole championship course. At the concierge or tour desk, arrangements can be made to visit the Punta Sur lighthouse or the Mayan ruin sites at San Gervasio, Castillo Real and El Cedral.
