The Melia Azul Ixtapa is an all-inclusive beach resort that offers something for every type of traveler with stunning ocean views, a recreational park for kids and a large convention center for business needs.

The leisure traveler will definitely be able to relax here. Located on the Pacific Coast in an area known as the Mexican Riviera, this beachfront property has three swimming pools, one of which is designed for children, and four whirlpools. It is conveniently located near the airport, a marina, shopping centers and two golf courses.

Recreational opportunities abound. Numerous exercise classes are offered in yoga, spinning, Pilates, Zumba and belly dancing. Water activities include water polo, volleyball, kayaking, snorkeling and boogie boarding. Guests can also play tennis and ping-pong or work out in the gym. The Flintstones Land themed recreational park was specially created with activities, interactive games, a climbing wall and a mini soccer field. Three separate kids' clubs are available here: the Baby Rock Club (for ages 4 months to 4 years), the Bamm-Bamm Club (for ages 5 to 8 years) and the Cool Club (for ages 9 to 13 years). There's also a separate supervised program designed for teens between the ages of 14 and 17.

If you are traveling on business, the Melia Azul Ixtapa has the largest hotel convention facility of its kind on the Mexican Pacific coast, accommodating up to 2,400 people in an auditorium-style setup and 1,500 for a banquet. There are also 31 meeting rooms.
