Los Cabos may be a popular party destination, but its nearby attractions are fun for the entire family. Cactimundo
Location: Mijares Boulevard, one block from the Hotel Zone
Blooming with 5,000 species, this botanical garden is not to be missed. Many of these plants are indigenous to the Baja Peninsula, but there are also plenty that come from all over the world.

Desertica
Location: Located north of Los Cabos International Airport in the Caduaño area
This 500-acre outdoor multi-adventure park features historic landmarks like a church, town square, tequileria, hotel and jail. Lighthouse at Cabo Falso

San José del Cabo Old Town
If you're in the mood for a peaceful afternoon, visit the old town of San José del Cabo. This village dates back to 1730, when the Jesuits took over the area from the Pericue Indians. Visit the city's large freshwater estuary, as well as a historical district filled with art galleries, old buildings, shopping and restaurants. See town events at Plaza Mijares or purchase paintings, sculptures and more at Jardin de Arte. In this area you can also see ballet folk dancing and celebrity singing performances on select weekend nights. Parroquia de San José, the city's main Catholic church, is also in this area. San Jose's Art Walk 
Location: San José del Cabo
Meet and greet local artists. In total, there are 16 art galleries. There is a morning art walk, which includes coffee from one of the restaurants. There is also a San José Shopping & Art Gallery Tour. This tour also includes a private wine-tasting menu in one of the galleries.

Sierra de la Laguna
Location: South of La Paz. To take Sierra de la Laguna, take Highway 1
Recognized as a biosphere reserve, this area includes plenty of animal and plant life. Once a boomtown for its silver and gold mines, today Sierra de la Laguna is popular among mountain bikers, climbers and hikers alike. For a taste of history and culture, the villages in this area include San Antonio and El Truinfo. El Truinfo features historic buildings, a Victorian church, museums and much more. Todos Santos
Only a one-hour drive from Los Cabos, this historic sugar mill town is a remarkable desert oasis. Founded in 1734, Todos Santos became popular for its sugarcane production during the last half of the 19th century. The mill closed in 1965 due to a long drought and drop in sugar prices. Almost two decades later, the agriculture flourished and it became a permanent residence for many artists. Touristy activities include visiting art galleries, shops, spas and bed-and-breakfasts, to name a few. There are also plants as well as mango, avocado and papaya trees. Whale Watching
During early fall, hundreds of whales migrate from the arctic to the warmer waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula. From December to March, you'll be able to see these gigantic beautiful creatures. In the warm, quiet waters of Magdalena, Vizcaíno and Ojo de Libre Bays or the Guerrero Negro and San Ignacio Lagoons, females give birth to their baby whales.
