The Costa del Sol Ocean Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and stretches more than a mile along a coastline of rocky outcroppings and beaches. The 5th and 17th holes are currently ranked among "The Best Holes in the World," according to Golf Magazine. The Costa del Sol Desert Course is a Tom Weiskopf design that features mesmerizing ocean views from all 18 holes, each artfully sculpted through incredible natural surroundings. A unique combination of desert and ocean, canyon-like arroyos and a variety of foliage creates a breathtaking backdrop as well as a significant challenge. The course varies in length from 4,810 to 7,100 yards with undulating greens, challenging elevation changes and dramatic bunkering. It is rated No. 6 in all of Mexico by Golf Digest, placing it behind only the Ocean Course among Los Cabos' resort golf offerings.

Developed by Grupo Quatro, the Cabo Real Golf Club opened in December 1994. Home to two PGA Senior Slams and a host of other prestigious golf tournaments, the 7,037-yard Cabo Real Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, has what is considered the toughest front nine of golf in Los Cabos. The first and third holes are both par 5 and require two good strokes to reach the green, although failed attempts are heavily penalized. The fifth, a long par 4, offers a tempting view of the left-hand side of the fairway, but demands a perfect tee shot to the right over a ravine to stay out of trouble. While all three have interesting features, the ninth is a par 4 of respectable length and an extensive 51 by 125-yard green protected by a lake that is home to regional marine birdlife. Long considered the favorite of many pros, the Cabo Real course is a must during any visit.

Only a few minutes east of downtown Cabo San Lucas, the Cabo San Lucas Country Club offers a challenging 18-hole, par 72, 7,220-yard course designed to the test players at all levels and abilities. Designed by the Roy Dye Corporation, the fairways are positioned on gently sloping terrain overlooking the Sea of Cortés. It is the only course with a view of the Land's End rock formations. This 200-acre course has been built in an area of desert beauty while maintaining the fragile ecosystem. Hole 5 is the lowest handicapped hole, which plays 446 yards from the championship tees and its lengthy fairway makes a gradual turn to the right into an uphill slope. The green has forward sand bunkers right and left, as well as a water hazard to the left and rear of the green.

Club Campestre San José Golf opened its doors in June 2007 with spectacular views of the Sea of Cortés, canyons and mountains. Club Campestre San José offers not only panoramic views, but dramatic elevation changes and undulating championship greens. The 18-hole course is a par 71, measuring 7,055 yards and was designed by Jack Nicklaus along with the Questro Group. Hole 7 features an amazing peninsula green with a magnificent view accenting the contrast between desert and ocean.

The Punta Sur Golf Los Cabos course offers players at all levels some of the most interesting golf in Los Cabos. This nine-hole, 3,141-yard layout will give your game a workout and is a great course for the entire family. The tee times are on a first-come, first-served basis. The desert landscape of Baja and the wild beauty of the Sea of Cortés are reflected in the vibrant atmosphere that pervades the Punta Sur Golf Course. Among the holes, the 5th is considered to be the most difficult because its green is raised and surrounded by traps.

Quivira Los Cabos is redefining luxury in Los Cabos. It is located on the true Land's End of the Baja Peninsula with more than three miles of sparkling white beaches, picturesque desert cliffs and panoramic ocean views. The two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses will open in 2011. The first 18 holes are scheduled to be completed in spring 2010. Crews are also working on the foundation, roads and infrastructure of the Nicklaus-branded community, a joint venture between Quivira and Jack Nicklaus.
