The Hotel Quinta del Sol, part of Solmar's five resorts in the area around Médano Beach, offers visitors a convenient location close to downtown shopping and the ocean.

Guests will enjoy spacious junior suites, complete with a fully equipped kitchenette, satellite TV, business desk and complimentary high-speed internet access. Other room amenities include an in-room safe, hair dryer, crib and turndown service. For guests traveling with children, in-room child care is available.

The hotel features a pool well-suited for both adults and small children. There is a shallow wading pool on one side and a deeper pool on the other side. For those looking to take a dip in the ocean, Médano Beach, Cabo's main swimming beach, is located a short distance away.

Nearby dining options include The Ridge at Playa Grande, one of the Hotel Quinta del Sol's sister properties, where an international menu is served with a Mediterranean touch and El Tejaban in the nearby Solmar Resort, which serves Mexican and American cuisine made with fresh ingredients. At the Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa, you'll find Calima Restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus featuring local market ingredients, and The Brigantine, a fine eatery serving up surf and turf dishes with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. 

Guests can also choose from a number of activities including horseback and ATV rides on the pristine white sands around Médano Beach and sunset cruises in the Pacific Ocean aboard one of several clippers as part of a two-hour tour complete with music, snacks and an open bar.

Sportfishing is another popular activity in the area. Solmar's fleet can handle groups of up to six people and mainly targets billfish including striped, black and blue marlin. Each boat comes with top-of-the-line equipment, a cooler with ice, a captain and a sailor. Fishing licenses, beverages and bait are additional.

Other activities include parasailing, snorkeling and scuba diving, renting jet skis and kayaking.

Through Solmar, guests can plan destination weddings at one of the company's sister properties. Ceremonies range from an intimate 25-person event to a grand affair of up to 100 people. The ceremonies take place on the beach and packages may include chairs, tiki torches and hors d'oeuvres. 

Located nearby, Downtown Cabo San Lucas offers plenty of locations for shopping and entertainment. A few popular nightlife spots include Cabo Wabo, founded by legendary rocker Sammy Hagar, and Nikki Beach.
