This room has either a king or two double beds along with a balcony or terrace. The décor has a tropical theme and rooms are situated in Polynesian-style bungalows (some even have thatched roofs). In addition to individually controlled air conditioning, there is ceiling fan. Among the amenities are a television with satellite channels, a separate sitting area and a mini-fridge.

The bathroom has a combined tub and shower and features a marble vanity sink.

Situated along the Yucatán Peninsula, Allegro Playacar offers beachfront Polynesian-style bungalows located just 45 minutes south of Cancun International Airport and a short walk away from Playa del Carmen's popular shopping, dining and entertainment areas.

The all-inclusive hotel features two-story thatched-roof bungalows with rooms that have colorful walls, new furniture and modern amenities. Guests who want to be closest to the beach or swimming pool should book a superior premium room. All rooms offer either a balcony or terrace and have individually controlled air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a ceiling fan and satellite TV. Cribs are available upon request.

There are four great venues for dining at the Allegro Playacar. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Buffet is the property's main restaurant. It features buffet-style dining and a wide selection of international cuisine with different themed nights. The Mexican is another restaurant and it offers authentic Mexican fare and cold cervezas served in a festive environment. Guests desiring traditional Italian dishes can indulge at The Italian. In addition to the à la carte menu, there are fine Italian wines available. Situated poolside, The Pizzeria offers a casual dining environment where you can enjoy an assortment of sandwiches and fresh-baked pizzas.

Guests will also discover a daily poolside beach buffet that features a variety of snack options and light healthy choices along with American-style favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, chicken and fish. If you're interested in more luxuriant cuisine, you can make a special request for the resort's Paradise Lobster dinner, which is offered for an additional fee. It features lobster grilled to perfection and served out on the beach under the stars.

When you want to indulge in some signature cocktails, The Ambar Bar is the place to go. Offering a mouthwatering margarita menu and an array of specialty drinks, it is sure to keep you satisfied well into the early morning hours. During the day guests can cool off with a tropical drink at the swim-up Aqua Bar. In addition to great drinks, the Disco Bar features a pool table, televisions, sports videos and international music.

Along with pristine beaches, the Allegro Playacar has three pools -- one for relaxing, one for resort-sponsored activities and one that's shaped like Mickey Mouse just for kids. A Kids Club also offers supervised daily activities for children ages 4-12 and there is a playground on site.

Surrounded by palapas for shade, the pools offer numerous spots for relaxing or soaking up the sun. Guests can also participate in an assortment of daytime activities without having to leave the resort. Volleyball, ping-pong, darts, billiards, tennis, basketball, a scuba clinic, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boarding, sailing and windsurfing are all available at no charge.

Excursions to nearby sites are available for an additional cost. You can go on a scuba trip and see Playa del Carmen's incredible underwater scenery. From Mayan ruins to caves, this area offers a unique diving environment that both beginners and experts can enjoy. In the evenings Allegro Playacar hosts themed shows and parties including "Boogie Dreams," which features music from the '70s and '80s, and "Ingenious," which features Irish dancing and circus acts.
