The El Tukan Hotel & Beach Club consists of three buildings housing 131 spacious guest rooms. A main complex and two annexes form a courtyard with a sparkling pool and hot tub at the center. Each of the rooms features a large furnished balcony or terrace along with traditional Mexican décor including stone floor tiling, dark wood furnishings, white walls and bright color accents. Guests also enjoy some modern luxuries such as TVs with cable service, air conditioning and internet access.

There are a variety of dining facilities near the hotel where you can savor your favorite foods and try regional specialties. One is Los Tulipanes. This à la carte restaurant prepares a combination of Mexican and international items. Attached to it is the Living Bar, which serves a variety of cocktails, coffee drinks and snacks under a charming palapa roof. You might also want to stop by La Ceiba, a fine buffet-style restaurant with a wide array of choices. Plus, Legends Sports Bar & Grill cooks up tasty buffalo wings and other delicious bar foods while broadcasting every major sporting event on eight 50-inch LCD screens.

Centrally located on Fifth Avenue, the most famous pedestrian street in Playa del Carmen, guests are never far from excitement. The only mode of transportation you'll need to get around are your feet. Visit an assortment of beaches, shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Take a ferry to Cozumel, which offers more fun shopping along with world-class snorkeling and scuba diving. You might also choose to book a tour to Cancun, Isla Mujeres and other nearby attractions to the north. Or, head to the south, where all the glory of the Riviera Maya is located conveniently within driving distance. Spend a day visiting the Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park, the colonial city of Valladolid and the Mayan ruins at Tulum.

Entertainment: The hotel does not offer entertainment. You’ll find plenty of bars and nightclubs throughout Playa del Carmen, but not much else in terms of entertainment. There is a modern multiplex movie theater located in the Plaza Las Americas shopping center.

Nightlife: Guests can visit the Living Bar, which is housed under a giant palapa roof, and Legends Sports Bar & Grill for an evening of fun and great cocktails. You’ll also find many opportunities for music, drinking and dancing on and around Fifth Avenue.
