The Fairmont Mayakoba is part of the Mayakoba resort development and sits on a 240-acre complex surrounded by canals, shoreline and mangrove forests. There are 401 rooms in the main building and 34 beach and lagoon casitas offering views of the ocean or jungle.

The hotel offers four restaurants including the AAA Four Diamond Las Brisas Restaurant. The restaurant features contemporary cuisine under a palapa with views of the Caribbean Sea.

Activities at the resort are plentiful and there's something for every type of guest. Located just next door is the 18-hole golf course, El Camaleon, designed by Greg Norman. There's also a kids' club for children up to 12. Adults can partake in a host of water sports and other recreational activities around the property.
