Description

The Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort offers guests a luxurious and all-inclusive experience that caters to the entire family. In fact, it was recently recognized as an esteemed AAA Four Diamond hotel for 2011. Located on Cancun's south shore, just five miles from the airport, the resort is seconds away from some of the area's nicest beaches. The Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort is nestled between 123 acres of tropical foliage and a secluded white sand beach stretching almost 2,000 feet, perfect for nonmotorized water sports.

The resort has 2,234 beautifully appointed rooms offering either ocean or garden views. The accommodations are divided into three sections: Sunrise, Nizuc and Grand, each with their own characteristics. Rooms feature marble bathrooms with glass enclosed showers, a double indoor Jacuzzi and a private balcony.

Guests will find a multitude of amenities and activities to enjoy during the day including two fully equipped fitness centers, two basketball courts, a climbing tower, six lighted tennis courts, two beach volleyball courts, beach soccer, a daily activities program and a meditation garden. There is also a water sports marina where guests can partake in various water-related activities.

Golf fanatics are in for a treat with the resort's Jack Nicklaus signature course featuring excellent greens on par with some of Mexico's top courses. The course's diverse layout requires golfers to navigate through native vegetation, numerous wetlands and strategically placed bunkers. There are three nine-hole courses that each offers a distinct environment that both professionals and amateurs can enjoy.

After a day on the greens you can dine in one of the two restaurants featured at the clubhouse, serving Italian and Oriental cuisine, or enjoy snacks at the 19th Hole Bar. Other services offered at the golf club include rental clubs, a practice range, putting and chipping greens, lockers, showers, clubs storage, lessons and merchandise.

The Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort is also home to an immaculate pool area designed with plush tropical landscaping and intricate waterways. There are seven outdoor pools, two of them freestyle. The pools are lined by the beach and extend for more than 650 feet with six hot tubs, six swim-up bars and two kids' pools.

If your kids are ready to leave the pool for some fun on dry land, the resort has a kids' club with various activities for them to enjoy. You have the option of leaving your children to enjoy the beach activities, arts and crafts, group sports and more at the club while you enjoy some sightseeing in the surrounding area. There is also a children's playground at the resort.
