Junior Suite

This 564-square-foot suite comes with one king or two double beds. It is elegantly decorated in tropical hues and outfitted with modern furnishings. There's a sitting area with a sleeper sofa and access to a private furnished balcony or terrace. Other amenities include tiled floors, a ceiling fan, a satellite plasma TV and a minibar with diet and regular soda, mineral water, juices and beer. 

The full bathroom has a spa tub, a separate shower and double vanities. 

The all-inclusive plan includes:

  • All daily meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
  • Unlimited domestic beer, domestic and international wine, soft drinks and cocktails from 11 a.m.-2 a.m., with waiter service available in the pool and beach areas.
  • 24-hour room service.
  • Use of two tennis courts and equipment.

The Sandos Riviera Beach Resort & Spa is essentially an expansion of its neighboring sister resort, the Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa. However, this hotel is designed with oversized rooms. And although its peach-hued stucco buildings continue the modern, tropical design established in the initial property, they contain additional perks and benefits here.

There's an expansive white sand beach next to the resort, which is filled with lounge chairs and palapas for shade. A private pool is dedicated for guests at the Sandos Riviera Beach Resort & Spa, but they are also welcome to explore the numerous pools (including a large freeform pool) in the Sandos Playcar Beach Resort & Spa's courtyard. Other pools at the adjacent resort include an adults-only pool, a children's pool and two Select Club pools.

All meal options are included in the price of the rooms, with the number of specialty restaurant dinner reservations determined by a guest's length of stay. Guests in Select Club rooms have additional benefits and privileges.

During the busy season, the Grand Buffet Riviera is open near the hotel lobby. It serves international cuisine for breakfast and lunch, followed by a Mexican dinner menu. Riviera Blue offers hot dishes, sandwiches, salads and snacks by the pool. Guests can also visit the many restaurants at the Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa, which includes Brazilian, Italian, Mediterranean, Asian and French menus.

Evening entertainment includes a cabaret show and theme nights at the Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa. There, cocktails are served until the wee hours at the restaurants, bars and disco. Guests can also head to downtown Playa del Carmen or Cancun to experience a more vibrant nightlife scene.

Use of the tennis courts, nonmotorized watercraft such as kayaks and windsurfing boards and the fitness center are all included. For an additional fee, guests can also hit the greens at the Playacar Golf Course, go on a sport-fishing excursion, tour Mayan ruins, visit nearby theme parks or scuba dive.

The full-service Sandos Spa offers massages, hydrotherapy, facials, body wraps and body electrotherapy. Beauty services include specialized hand, nail and foot treatments. The 3,700-square-foot fitness center has cardio and strength-training equipment. In addition to yoga and Pilates, spinning classes are offered twice a day.

All rooms at Sandos Riviera Beach Resort & Spa are oversized, air conditioned and have a king or two double beds. Junior suites also feature a sitting area that includes a hot tub, sofa bed, private balcony, bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, ceiling fan, satellite plasma television and well-stocked minibar. Select Club rooms also come with bathrobes and special VIP access to the Select Club Lounge.
